Good Afternoon, 

The Van Dyke group received a correspondence from the church requesting liability insurance for our meetings. We secured a quote from a representative who provides coverage for several other AA groups, and during today’s business meeting, we unanimously approved obtaining this coverage.

The church also requested us to reduce our presence at the church and limit our meetings to three meetings on two days by May 31st.

In the same business meeting today, in order to comply with the churches request, we almost unanimously decided to discontinue all meetings at the current location except for the following meetings:

* Saturday Beginner’s Meeting at 9:00 - 9:45 AM 
* Saturday 12 Step Meeting at 10:00 - 11:00 AM
* Sunday Topic Meeting at 7:00 - 8:00 PM

Since the change affects our commitment to our primary purpose and our AA family, we approved creating a search committee to facilitate finding a new location for the eliminated meetings and possibly all current Van Dyke meetings. 

Those interested in joining the search committee can reply to this email. The initial search committee meeting date and time are yet to be determined.
